Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Degree of a recognised University or Equivalent.
A Diploma in Company Law, Labour Laws or Public Administration is desirable.
Age Limit
- UR/EWS: 35 Years
- OBC: 38 Years
- SC/ST: 40 Years
- PwBD: Additional 10 Years relaxation, subject to the maximum age limit of 56 years
Pay Scale
The post carries Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Job Nature
The post of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner is permanent and belongs to Central Board Group-A, Non-Ministerial, equivalent to Group-A of Central Government at the corresponding pay level.
Duties of APFC
The duties of Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner include Enforcement, Recovery, Accounts, Administration, Cash, Legal, Pension and Computer-related work. The role also includes conducting inquiries, settlement of claims, general administration, maintenance of cash books, reconciliation of bank statements and MIS returns.

Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted through a Recruitment Test (RT) followed by Interview. The Recruitment Test will be conducted by UPSC.
The Recruitment Test will carry 300 marks and the Interview will carry 100 marks. The weightage of Recruitment Test and Interview will be in the ratio of 75:25.
