Educational Qualification
Educational qualification varies according to the post. Candidates may be required to possess qualifications such as B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science/IT or related engineering disciplines, LLB, MBA/PGDBM, CA, CMA or other relevant qualifications as prescribed for the respective position.
Most engineering positions require a minimum of 60% marks where specified in the notification. Candidates must possess the required qualification from a recognized University/Institute as applicable.

- General Manager – 55 Years
- Deputy General Manager (Legal) – 45 Years
- Deputy Manager (Regular) – 35 Years
- Accounts Officer – 28 Years
- Officer (HR & Admin.) – 28 Years
- Engineer (Corporate Planning) – 28 Years
- Deputy Manager (FTE:E-3) – 35 to 40 Years depending on post
- Senior Engineer (FTE:E-2) – 33 Years
- Officer (Legal) FTE:E-1 – 35 Years
The upper age limit is considered on the closing date of the advertisement.
Age Relaxation
- OBC-NCL Candidates – 03 Years
- SC/ST Candidates – 05 Years
- PwBD Candidates – 10 Years over and above applicable category relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen – As per Government of India directives
Application Fee
- Regular Executive Positions – ₹1,000/-
- Fixed Term Executive Positions – ₹500/-
- SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
The application fee once paid is non-refundable.
Salary / Pay Scale
For Regular Positions, the pay scale ranges from ₹40,000–₹1,40,000 to ₹1,20,000–₹2,80,000 (IDA), depending upon the position and grade.
For Fixed Term Executive Positions, the approximate CTC ranges from about ₹8.3 lakh per annum to ₹13.3 lakh per annum depending on the position.
Selection Process
Depending upon the number of applications, SECI may revise the eligibility criteria or limit the number of candidates called for a particular post. Screening Test, Written Test, Trade Test, Skill Test, Group Discussion and/or Interview may be conducted as deemed appropriate by SECI.
