Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27
Canara Bank has released the notification for engagement of Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the financial year 2026-27. A total of 3500 Graduate Apprentice training seats are available across various States and Union Territories in India.
Eligible Indian citizens can apply online after registering on the NATS Apprenticeship Portal and completing their profile. The apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University/Institution recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
The candidate must have passed graduation between 01 January 2023 and 01 September 2026, both dates inclusive.
Candidates having one or more years of job experience or candidates who have previously undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible, as per the advertisement conditions.
Age Limit
The candidate should be between 20 and 28 years of age as on 01 September 2026.
Candidates should have been born between 02 September 1998 and 01 September 2006, both dates inclusive.

State/UT-wise Training
The 3500 Graduate Apprentice training seats are distributed across various States and Union Territories. Candidates can opt for training seats in only one State/UT.
Candidates must possess proficiency in the specified local language of the State/UT selected for apprenticeship training.
Stipend
Selected Graduate Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹16,650/- during the apprenticeship training period.
- Canara Bank Share: ₹10,500/- per month
- Government of India Subsidy: ₹6,150/- per month
- Total Monthly Stipend: ₹16,650/-
The Government of India subsidy will be credited directly to the apprentice's bank account through DBT mode. Apprentices will not be entitled to other allowances or employee benefits.
Application Fee
- SC/ST/PwBD: Nil
- All Other Candidates: ₹500/- including intimation charges
Selection Process
There is no written examination for selection of Graduate Apprentices.
Selection will be made through a State-wise merit list prepared in descending order based on marks obtained in the 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma examination.
The minimum qualifying marks are:
- General/OBC/EWS: 60%
- SC/ST/PwBD: 55%
In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.
Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted through the merit list will be required to appear for document verification and fulfill all eligibility requirements before engagement.
Local Language Test
Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the State/UT selected by them. Candidates who have studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th Standard may be exempted from appearing in the local language test, subject to the conditions of the advertisement.
Medical Fitness
Final engagement as an Apprentice is subject to fulfillment of the prescribed medical fitness requirements.

The period of apprenticeship training will be one year.

Important Eligibility Conditions
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Graduation must have been completed within the prescribed period.
- Candidates with one or more years of job experience are not eligible.
- Candidates who have previously undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible.
- The candidate can select training seats in only one State/UT.
- Local language proficiency is required for the selected State/UT.
- Engagement is for apprenticeship training and does not constitute regular employment with Canara Bank.
Important Note
The candidates engaged as Apprentices will not be treated as employees of Canara Bank and will not be entitled to employee benefits available to regular Bank employees.
